An excerpt of a long form documentary to come in 2022
An excerpt of a long form documentary to come in 2022
I am a long time Dysautonomia sufferer and had quite a journey to finally get diagnosed. I felt compelled to take one for the team by putting myself out there, which is something I am usually very uncomfortable doing, and help inform long haulers and/or other undiagnosed POTS sufferers. POTS/Dysautonomia finally got some mentions in the news due to Covid-19 but it's not enough. I would often get so frustrated reading articles talking around the symptoms and never mentioning Dysautonomia or watching many long haulers suffer when many don't realize they are actually dealing with POTS/Dysautonomia as a result of Covid-19. In the process of shooting the long form documentary, it became very clear that so many long haulers aren't getting answers and are struggling with so many overwhelming symptoms so we wanted to release this short asap as a PSA/info dump to help those that may be struggling with these same issues. What you won't see documented in this short is the insane struggle behind the scenes to even make this film as someone who is chronically ill, like the near fainting in the airport, hotel staff having to transport me to my room after collapsing in lobby and in and out of consciousness during the interviews. These symptoms are very real and not in our heads. This is my story, we all have radically different ones and I can't wait to release the long form docu to share other heartbreaking/inspiring stories to help bring awareness to POTS/Dysautonomia so stay tuned!
Danielle Hinde is a producer, runs two companies as well as a preschool out of her home, 3 time Ironman and also suffers with a debilitating chronic illness. This film also stars the imitiable Dr Brent Goodman of The Mayo Clinic - Scottsdale, AZ.
We are currently documenting long haulers, POTS/Dysautonomia patients, Autonomic doctors who have been in this field for decades and Long Covid clinic doctors. If you have stories or know someone suffering who would want to participate in the long form, please contact us! Also please consider donating to our kickstarter so we can keep shooting!
Do you have questions or comments about our film? I love helping inform or point people in the right direction. It can be very daunting to navigate through the medical community.
